D4 the 2 along the South coast

Woke in my tent early and along to Hemsworth for breakfast. First real mechanical hiccup as the bible managed somehow to fall over on its side whilst kicked to a hoop with my new steel bar lock one of several critical gifts from my wife (more of the lock anon!). Well if any of you have ever had the front folks turned round on themselves you may have experienced the minor demanding required to get them back facing the right direction! Except on the wonderful Thorn the front brake calipers are long and really got so jammed i had to dismantle them and then put them back together in a roadside repair (fortunately after breakfast so calm(ish). Anyway once I worked out how the spring was positioned to hold the brake open (discs on the back so when I went to compare the two brake mechanisms this didn't help me none) I at least felt able to set off again. But I will be eternally grateful to the gentle bloke watching me made the throwaway comment that there was a good bike shop in Emsworth! Taking the hint i then got a masterclass in brake adjustment and confidence was back!
The sun came back out i celebrated  with aa sea swim at Bognor (sea turquoise why am I going to greece! - Cuz it'll soon start raining again stupid. Lovely Worthing and a memorable drawback lunch then gentle till to Brighton in good time to check in at the backpackers and get to the fanzone!
