D5 Blighty left as I head for La France

We lost and I got up to an after party Brighton happy I 'd gone straight to bed as I had an hour's work out along rolling white cliffs to new haven for an 8am reporting time. The ferry was hugely enjoyable with fellow riders (about 20) heading to various parts of france mainly for the Tour.
Got out of Dieppe early afternoon, promptly lost my avenue vert signage (reminds you just how good sustrans ncn signage is) and within an hour was battling with traffic on a major road with no avenue vert in sight! Saved by a nice bar tabac man who smelt strongly of pastis but knew his geography and suddenly I was back in traffic free heaven!
