D23 to Lyon

I awoke to a really beautiful tai chi session in the early morning light on a fishing platform by my tent.
Then I crossed the lazy Saone, ancient boundary now separating Sin from Burgundy.

I knocked off the first half on the D road which was very scenic and not too busy before hitting the river bank at Beaurive from where I was able to follow a Greek track all the way to greater Lyon where it became an official cycleway. Bloody marvellous...succession of increasingly chic little places by the river. Stopped for a swim and picnic lunch outside one. A Lovely tranquil swim as I reflected in Roger Dragon's patron to wild swimming the last present from my dear brother from his library! Poignant.
And then suddenly I had arrived.

A good night out ensued with fortunately no photographic evidence to share with my dear readers. Suffice to say I was back in my Hotel and ready for the day at 09.00am the following day!
